Accessibility

A frank note before you book.
Sierra Escape is set on uneven rural terrain. We are not a fully accessible property. If step-free access, firm pathways or compliant amenities are essential for your comfort or safety, please read this page carefully and contact us before booking.

Terrain & pathways

Ground surfaces: Uneven natural ground and gravel. There are no continuous hard-surface pathways from parking to accommodation.
Grades: Natural slopes are present; in wet weather, surfaces can be soft or slippery.
Lighting: Low-glare outdoor lighting at night; we recommend bringing a torch.

Parking & transfers

• Parking is available near each tent/tiny house on natural ground.
• On request (subject to availability), we can assist with luggage from your vehicle to your room.

Steps & access by room

WirraNo steps to enter (ground still uneven).
EloueraMinimal steps (2) to enter. Bathroom: roll-in shower (not DDA-compliant; no certified grab rails or compliant circulation spaces).
AlkiraMinimal steps (2) to enter.
UrallaMinimal steps (2) to enter.
DuliliMinimal steps (2) to enter.
Carinya — Approx. 12 stairs plus a gravel pathway to the tent. Not recommended for anyone with mobility or balance concerns.

Inside the rooms

• Door widths, turning circles and furniture clearances vary and are not certified to accessibility standards.
• No DDA-compliant grab rails are installed.
• Flooring includes natural variations and transitions.

Who Sierra may suit / may not suit

May suit: Guests comfortable with uneven ground, a short walk from car to room, and 1–2 steps (or no steps at Wirra).
May not suit: Guests requiring step-free, firm, continuous pathways; or lift-free access with guaranteed clearances.

Booking guidance

If minimal steps and the least complicated access are priorities, Wirra is the best option, followed by Elouera (noting the non-compliant bathroom). Before you book, please contact us to discuss your needs so we can suggest the best fit and note any assistance (e.g., luggage help) we can provide on arrival.

What we’re working on

We’re exploring practical improvements that don’t compromise the landscape, such as adding firmer surface treatments on short path sections, clearer pre-arrival information (photos/videos of entries), and additional hand-holds/railings at short stair runs where appropriate. This page will be updated as changes are made.
